Spotted this today on a blog entitled ‘20 odd inventions or totally pointless?‘ thought it was a great example of functional interior design and wanted to share it with the HomeandDecorating readers.

The concept is simple – although you may have an under stairs cupboard to make maximum use of hidden space, here is a way to make use of those bottom few steps which unless you like crawling in dark spaces or are immune to bumps on the head, are otherwise inaccessible.

Take the bottom few steps, ensure they are reinforced at the sides, and insert a drawer in the front. Simples.
